Carlin Kielcheski Paintings
Artist Carlin Kielcheski was an officer in the US Air Force who taught art at the Air Force Academy between 1960 and 1980. He spent a year in Vietnam as a combat illustrator painting collages of each air craft and the mission its crew supported in the war. Carlin grew up in northern Wisconsin riding horses and drawing them since he was a young child. He loved the Southwest and lived in New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado and was fascinated by the ranchers he knew and the lifestyle they led. After retiring from the Air Force, Carlin joined the Colorado Springs Watercolor Society. His favorite subjects were ranching scenery, the lives of cattlemen, and rodeo competitions. He painted scenes from a number of ranches, rode along on a cattle drive, and kept his own horses. His paintings will be for sale and on display at the ProRodeo Hall of Fame until April 2025.
