Warren, Corky

Keith "Corky" Warren was born on December 15, 1938, in Laurel, Nebraska to the late Cecil and Esther Warren. Corky was father to daughters, Stacey and Pam. Corky married Joan Stefan in 1997 and became step-dad to Colby J Goodwin. Corky was a professional rodeo cowboy competing at the highest level in calf roping, team roping, steer wrestling and steer roping. In addition to many individual event championships, he won two “all around” world championships with the Senior Pro Rodeo Association and three world championship titles in steer roping with the Senior Steer Roping Association. Corky was inducted into the Cheyenne Frontier Days Hall of Fame and the Texas Pro Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame. Corky also spent several years in the horse business as a professional trainer. He trained, fit, and showed champion quarter horses in halter and performance classes.  Corky was also an astute businessman, starting and building his own successful business, parlaying his own experience and creative expertise to design and oversee building some of the finest equestrian centers in the west.
